i didn’t think this was going to be a very interesting blog so I never thought to write about it until one day I got asked too.
I’ve been blogging now for almost a year and half and have 100 followers “thank you so much again for the support.” And over on my instagram page I have 1,4500 followers which I’m thankful as well. But I’m going to get real it’s taken me a lot of hard work and I’m only at the start of getting those milestones!
When I first started the instagram page I had no idea what I was doing or how long I would take this journey. My first ever post was of my son Lorenzo and his two month milestone but for those of you who have been following me from the blog would know I began this page when I was pregnant.
Fast forward a year and my pictures are better quality
Here’s how I run my instagram page.
First thing I do before uploading a picture is I colour edit it and the app I use is VSCO and I love it.
I have a few favourite filters I have saved but my go to one is called AL1 and it just makes pictures bright.
Here’s a before and after.
And for those wanting to know where this photo is from it’s from my trip to Singapore at gardens by the bay.
Once I have uploaded my photos I also add hashtags which I have a few saved in my notes pad that I just copy and paste into the comments area on the photo.
As well as uploading photos and hashtags I always upload a story if I have a new blog out etc I’ll snap a picture and link them to the blog.
Here comes the time consuming part but the fun part for me is now connecting with all!
I spend about an hour every night liking and leaving comments on followers instagrams, then I go into my hashtags and click on one and start to like all the photos. The ones that catch my eye I will click on the profile and start following and then going into their followers and add some new followers and begin liking photos again.
So much work goes into running my instagram page and still having a normal 9-5 job plus this blog but it’s crazy because when I stopped for a while I missed it so much and came straight back.
