I’ve always done a morning routine but never a what my day actually intales. I work full-time as a educator plus have a one year old, so enjoy my day in the life of my crazy day.
6am- I wake up a little earlier then my son just to get a head start on my day. I get dressed and ready straight away and usually begin my make up routine well I still have free time. If you want to see what that routine is I’ll leave the link for that blog down below.
6:30am – my son wakes up and gets straight out of bed, I change his night nappy straight away but don’t dress him just yet. We both head straight to the kitchen. This is where I make him brekky and get sits and watches paw patrol well eating and I make my breakfast.
After we both have had brekky it’s time to finish getting ready. I dress my son then begin to pack his daycare bag and get my lunch box ready for work with my meals I pre make the night before.
7:30am – we are both ready and get into the car to leave for work & daycare.
7:50am – I’m pretty lucky to work at the same daycare as my son so we only have to drive to one place. I drop him off in his room and I sign him in at front desk and then I head to the staff room.
8am- I begin my day in the room. Usually this is outside play with the kids until morning tea which is at 9am.
9am- transition the children from outside to inside. We begin group time on the mat which can be anything from show and tell to counting and learning the ABC’s.
10am- morning tea for the kids in this time it’s usually our time as the teachers to have a 10 minute break which someone comes to cover us.
From 10:30-11am it’s our teaching time with the kids.
11am- set the room up for rest time, get the kids to make their beds and wash their hands for lunch.
By 12noon they have had lunch and are on their beds for rest. This is the teachers time to get our paper work done. Learning obs, programing etc.
1:10- 1:150pm it’s my lunch break.
The kids wake up around 2pm- by 2:30pm the beds are packed away the kids have done what they need to do and are getting there hats on and shoes for the afternoon.
By 3pm it’s afternoon tea for the kids.
By 3:30pm it’s outside play and waiting for pick ups.
I finished work at 4:30pm. I pick my bags up, sign my kid out and take him home and that’s when the mum routine starts. That’s a everyday routine for me five days a week, hope you enjoyed.
