Telling my family

When we found out we were pregnant I was actually scared to tell my family ” I don’t know why” but even with Lorenzo I was horrified to tell my parents mostly out of fear of judgement or negativy responses.. which hasn’t happened both times but yet I felt that feeling both times.

My family is definitely not big on displaying effection or showing emotions so I guess announcing a pregnancy would be weird!?

We choose father’s day here in Australia to tell the family because everyone was going to be at lunch. Mum cried ” don’t know if happy or sad” but I’m guessing happy because my parents don’t show emotions. And dad smiled and asked how I was feeling, again for my parents that’s actually a great reaction!

My sister’s on the other hand made jokes and both used a few choice words!? But that’s very standard for my sister’s.

My grandparents were very happy, unfortunately my grandmother is very sick health wise and every week with her is a milestone and I know these are Memoires are what she wants so I’m so thankful she gets to join in this crazy ride again and hopefully the birth. My grandfather also very happy!

Hubby and I have been together for six years we have been through so much!

We love being Lorenzo’s parents and he’s been such a blessing to our family

He’s brought my disfuncal family closer than I ever thought was possible and emotions out of my parents I’ve never seen.

Hubby ( he doesn’t like me using his name) has taken on the dad role so amazingly and with ease, the bond our son and him have is the best feeling to watch.

We can’t wait to see our future with two kids and our dog zues! We always said we wanted two and close in age and I thank God everyday for this life i get to live.

Not just a regular mum 💌
